Similarities: Hot stamping and sublimation paper belong to heat transfer, that is, hot stamping principle is roughly the same, are transferred to the fabric by heating.

Difference: 1. Hot stamping temperature and time are not the same. Generally speaking, the hot stamping temperature is between 130-150 degrees, the time is about 6-10 seconds (of course, different manufacturers use different hot melt adhesive, there may be differences in the temperature and time of hot stamping, but most of them are like this), and the sublimation paper temperature is between 180-220 degrees, the time is about 15-20 seconds.

2. Ironing fabrics vary. Hot stamping can be hot in knitting, textile, nylon, non-woven fabric, Oxford cloth and other all fabrics can be hot stamping. Sublimation paper can only be ironed on light or white polyester fabrics. The more polyester it contains, the brighter the color.

3. Feel different after hot stamping. There is hot glue on the back of the hot stamping, so the hot stamping on the fabric feels feel, as if there is something attached to the surface of the fabric, it feels hard. Sublimation paper is ink permeated into the fabric, so it is called sublimation, it does not feel comfortable, relatively soft.

4. Color difference. Hot stamping can achieve the effect of photos, do hot stamping as long as provide clear original file (vector), make can achieve the effect of photos. Sublimation paper stamping out the effect is not as clear as hot stamping. Sublimation paper hot printing fabric containing polyester components, the higher the color is bright. Of course, it is also related to the temperature and time of hot stamping. The higher the temperature of hot stamping, the longer the time, the more bright the color.

5. There are differences in washing fastness. Generally speaking, the washing fastness of hot stamping is not as good as that of sublimation paper, but the quality of hot stamping is different. The quality of hot stamping is mainly based on elasticity and washing fastness. Sublimation paper does not have this feature. Generally speaking, the A-grade hot stamping products made by our company can reach the washing fastness above level 4, the B-grade products can reach the color fastness of level 4, and the C-grade products can also reach the color fastness of level 3 (all can pass the GSG test).

These are the similarities and differences between hot stamping and thermal sublimation. Of course, printing includes heat transfer, and heat transfer includes hot stamping and thermal sublimation. The process of printing a pattern onto a fabric by heating is called heat transfer.

The transfer effect of thermal sublimation is that the ink penetrates on the clothes, and the hand feels no hand feel. The transfer effect of hot painting is rubber, and the hand feels a piece of rubber.

There are also thermal sublimation and hot stamping temperature and time is not the same, thermal sublimation hot stamping temperature is about 180-210 degrees, hot stamping time is 18-25 seconds. The temperature of the hot stamping is about 145-150 degrees, and the hot stamping time is about 3-6 seconds.

Moreover, thermal sublimation is only suitable for ironing on light-colored non-cotton clothes, while hot stamping is suitable for ironing on any fabric

There are two printing methods of thermal transfer printing, one is sublimation transfer, the other is thermal solid transfer, also called hot stamping. Sublimation transfer refers to the process of printing disperse dye onto transfer paper and then transferring the pattern on the transfer paper to the desired product at high temperature and pressure. Hot stamping is the printing of pigment ink on a special transfer paper and then transferred to the medium along with the coating on the transfer paper!

There are obvious differences in the application of the two printing methods. Sublimation transfer printing method is mainly used in chemical fiber cloth and hard materials coated with thermal transfer coating, while thermal solid transfer printing method is mainly used in pure cotton products. The difference in texture between the two printing methods is that the thermal sublimation pattern does not change the original texture of the material after the transfer printing, and it has a good hand feel and appearance. Hot stamping pattern after the transfer on the surface of the attachment to form a layer of glue, feel poor, not breathable.
