1. Thermal sublimation transfer technology
Production of heat transfer inks
(1) Dye
The dye used for thermal sublimation transfer printing can be selected according to the following conditions:
① The molecular weight of dye should not exceed 350;
(2) There is an intermolecular force between the dye gas and the fiber, and it can diffuse to the interior of the fiber.
③ The dye sublimation temperature below 200℃ is suitable;
(4) The color fastness of the dye transferred to the fiber meets the wearing requirements;
⑤ Good color and brightness on the fiber;
⑥ Dye and base paper have no affinity.
Commonly used transfer printing dyes are anthraquinone dyes, azo dyes, cationic dyes and so on.
(2) Bonding material
Commonly used resin for low viscosity ethyl cellulose, ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (EHEC), long oil modified alkyd resin, etc., commonly used solvents are turpentine, terpentine alcohol, high boiling point alkols, aromatic alkanes, fibrinolytic agents, etc., there are a small number of other additives. The main requirements of the binder are small affinity with dye, easy to release dye gas, and have suitable printing adaptability, preservation and heat transfer adaptability.
2. The base paper
Base paper for transfer printing should be selected with high temperature resistance, pressure resistance, seepage prevention, low permeability of dye gas and high tension resistance. The surface smoothness should be high so that fine patterns can be printed. The technical standards are as follows.
Absorbency 40 ~ 100g/m2
Air permeability 500 ~ 2000mL/min
Quantitative 50 ~ 70g/m2
pH 4.5 to 5.5
Dirt is not allowed
Foreign flower paper with base paper, Dutch products, all coniferous wood pulp manufacturing, chemical loading accounted for 50%, mechanical loading accounted for 50%, this paper at high temperature is not yellow, not brittle.
Coniferous wood chemical pulp paper with sulfite method is also used. This paper has good high temperature resistance with filling. The filling formula is as follows (for reference only).
Melamine 0.8%
Rosin 2.5%
Bauxite 10%
Talc powder 20%
In addition to the flower paper base paper with coating, such as silicone, polyethylenic acid and other substances, can increase the transfer effect.
3. Method of printing
Common printing methods are gravure printing, relief printing, flat printing and screen printing four kinds.
